Megha Walia has over eight years of experience in teaching, research, and consultancy in Forensic
Science and related areas. She is currently working as an Assistant Professor and pursuing Ph.D. in
the Department of Forensic Science, Faculty of Applied and Basic Sciences, SGT University,
Gurugram, India.
She previously served as an Assistant Chemical Analyser at the Directorate of Forensic Science
Laboratories, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, where she reported over 500 cases to the court of law.
Megha has contributed to the e-PG Pathshala Project by the University Grants Commission (UGC)
under the NMEICT mission of the Ministry of Education (MHRD), Government of India, as a Project
Assistant in Forensic Science.
Her academic journey includes teaching positions at University of Delhi (SGTB Khalsa College and
Department of Anthropology), Lovely Professional University, Punjab, and Jain University,
Bangalore.
Additionally, she has worked as a private forensic expert and consultant, providing Forensic Expert
Opinions for court cases in India and Canada. Her expertise includes submitting forensic reports for
government and non-government organizations, including SBI Bank, Gramin Regional Bank,
Karnataka Golf Association, AGL Televentures Pvt. Ltd., Punjab State Transmission Corporation
Limited, Nagvanshi Dynasty, and private bodies. She has analyzed questioned documents spanning
from 1960 to 2023.
Megha holds M.Phil. in Physical Anthropology from the University of Delhi and an M.Sc. in Forensic
Science from Galgotias University, India.
She is a Lifetime Member of International Forensic Sciences, Pune (India), registered with the
Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), Government of India.
