With the plan to deliver high quality and patient centric emergency care, the
management started the department of Emergency Medicine in 2023..
The objective of establishing the Department of Emergency Medicine is to cater
to the medical needs of the persons who are coming for acute care. The mission
of the department is to triage the patients, based on the need and services
provided.
It is a department available for patient care 24/7 as a frontline medical care
provider and is equipped with all emergency and critical care manpower and
instruments. In SGT University Hospital, the department is serving acute
medical care to the people who had trauma, poisoning, and other acute medical
and surgical emergencies. The point of care is observed in caring for the patient.
Once the patient stabilizes, he/she will be shifted to appropriate ward of the
hospital
Experts with a background in the fields of anaesthesia, medicine and trauma
care have acted as mentors in creating a new generation of ED physicians who
as young leaders taking this novel specialty to new pinnacles with great vigour
and vision.
