FMMT Students Explore Amrit Udyan Through the Lens: A Photowalk Experience
The Faculty of Mass Communication & Media Technology (FMMT), SGT University, organized an exciting photowalk at Amrit Udyan, Rashtrapati Bhavan, providing students with a golden opportunity to hone their photography and visual storytelling skills.
Amrit Udyan, formerly known as Mughal Gardens, is one of the most exquisite and picturesque gardens in India, known for its vibrant floral displays and serene landscapes. The students enthusiastically participated in the photowalk, capturing the essence of nature through their camera lenses. From vivid seasonal blooms to symmetrical garden layouts, the young photographers experimented with composition, lighting, and framing to produce captivating images.
The objective of this photowalk was to encourage students to explore outdoor photography, nature photography, and visual storytelling—integral skills for aspiring media professionals. Apart from capturing stunning photographs, students also delved into content creation, producing engaging reels and short-form videos for digital platforms.
This initiative aligns with FMMT’s commitment to experiential learning by allowing students to translate their classroom knowledge into real-world applications. It also nurtures creativity, artistic expression, and technical expertise, essential for careers in photojournalism, cinematography, and digital media production.
