The Department of Kayachikitsa, Faculty of Indian Medical System, SGT University, hosted an enlightening guest lecture on “Ayurveda: Here and Beyond “under the guidance of Dr. Vidyavati Hiremath, Associate Dean, Faculty of Indian Medical System & Dr. Rekha Phull, Head of Department, Department of Kayachikitsa designed to introduce students to the vast and evolving career opportunities in Ayurveda.

The event commenced with a warm welcome, followed by the sacred Dhanvantari Vandana and the ceremonial lamp lighting, symbolizing the illumination of knowledge. Dr. Parveen Yadav, Associate Professor, Department of Kayachikitsa, set the stage by introducing the esteemed guest speaker Dr. Preeti Bhonsle (Scientist, Department of Science and Technology, AIIMS, New Delhi)

Dr. Preeti Bhonsle showcased Ayurveda’s evolving careers, inspiring innovative thinking. This lecture served as a catalyst for broadening perspectives, igniting curiosity and encouraging students to explore Ayurveda beyond conventional boundaries.

Dr. Vidyavati Hiremath, Associate Dean, Faculty of Indian Medical System concluded the session with inspiring remarks, encouraging students to engage in interactive learning and critical reasoning to facilitate the adaptation of Ayurveda to contemporary challenges. This was followed by a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. Deepika Yadav, Associate Professor, Department of Kayachikitsa, appreciating the speaker’s invaluable contribution and the enthusiastic participation of attendees. The event was moderated by Dr. Sunidhi Kaundal, Assistant Professor, Department of Kayachikitsa.
