Ayurventure: Interactive Prakriti Learning Through Ayurveda Board Game | Synergy 2024

Abstract:

This blog talks about a project presented by Ayurveda Students of SGT University at its Synergy Tech-fest/ 2024. It seeks to highlight the concept of “Prakriti,” which is a crucial aspect of Panchakarma Therapy and Ayurveda at large.

Defining Prakriti

Prakriti is an inherent nature and body constitution of an individual that is determined at the time of birth and can’t be changed throughout the lifetime. It is as specific as the fingerprint of an individual; its knowledge is also helpful in the prognosis of the disease and the most suitable treatment and also enables us to design an individualistic lifestyle and diet that will prevent the origin of disease in the body.

Our Project:

Our project Ayurventure helps in understanding the concept of Prakriti and has two parts:-

  • Questionnaire: This can be accessed by scanning a QR code, which allows us to understand a person's Prakriti and help create necessary changes to their lifestyle.
  • Board Game: A snake-n-ladder-like board game, where you will be assigned the game board according to your Prakriti. The game will be played like a normal snake and ladder game, where you will roll the dice and move your pawn.

If your pawn comes at a block having a food item or a daily regime that is good for you, that block will act as a ladder. If your pawn comes at a block having a food item or daily regime excess of which is bad for you, it will act as a snake and bring you down to a block, indicating the adverse effect that you will have on your body if you continue the excess of those things.

Conclusion:

Our game combines visual learning with theoretical concepts to create an innovative and interactive way to learn a difficult concept. This game will help Ayurveda students as well as normal people understand and grasp the concept of Prakriti with ease.
