Ms. Neha Seotra
Assistant Professor

Ms. Neha Seotra is an Assistant Professor in the Department of English and Humanities, Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences and Liberal Arts (FHSL). She holds an M.Phil. in English Literature from the University of Delhi where she also completed her M.A. and B.A. in English Literature. She qualified the UGC-NET with Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in 2019. With a deep appreciation for literature and its capacity to reflect human experience, her academic journey is shaped by a strong interest in the nuances of literary expression across cultures and periods. Her research and teaching interests include Partition Studies, Dalit Literature, Gender Studies, Queer Cinema, Memory Studies, Food and Literature, and Indian Writing in English.
She brings over two years of research experience and four years of teaching in different colleges under University of Delhi to her academic practice, with a strong interdisciplinary focus that bridges literary analysis and socio-cultural critique. Her approach to literature emphasizes its role in representing marginalized voices, shaping cultural memory, and challenging dominant narratives. She also served as a Post-Graduate Teacher (PGT) in English at Andhra Education Society, ITO, New Delhi, a government-aided institution for a period of two years.
