Dr. Longjam Loyangamba Meitei
Assistant Professor

Dr. Longjam Loyangamba Meitei is an Assistant Professor in the Department of English and Humanities, Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences and Liberal Arts. He earned his PhD from the Central University of Gujarat, with his doctoral research titled “History, Genre and The Archive: A Study of Postcolonial Manipuri Literature.” He completed both his B.A. and M.A. in English Literature from the University of Delhi. His research interests include Postcolonial Theory, Northeast Indian Literature, Literary Historiography, and Indigenous Literary Practices. Dr. Meitei views literature as a critical and creative medium to interrogate history, identity, and marginality. His teaching philosophy emphasizes dialogic learning and encourages students to explore texts in relation to their socio-political and cultural contexts. He has presented papers in national and international academic forums and remains actively engaged in research at the intersections of literature, culture, and regional histories.
