Dr. Sangeeth Somanadhapai, Professor and Dean, Faculty of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences at SGT University, Gurugram, holds a Bachelor's degree in Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences with two Gold Medals from Mangalore University, India. He further pursued post-graduate specializations in Applied Yoga, Acupuncture, and Clinical Research.

As a clinical naturopath and yoga physician, Dr. Somanadhapai has specialized in Workplace Wellness Medicine, Stress Management, and Applied Yoga Therapy. He has distinguished himself in the fields of Naturopathy and Yoga as a clinician, academician, and corporate trainer, with over 27 years of experience across various roles. He has presented more than 15 papers at national conferences and 10 at international conferences. Some of his recent publications on COVID-19 have been featured in the Global Literature Resource of the WHO, Geneva.

As an academician, he played a pivotal role in establishing Delhi NCR’s first Naturopathy college—Maharishi Aurobindo Subharti College of Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences (Meerut). He was also actively involved in the conceptualization of a uniform syllabus for the BNYS curriculum in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, from 2010 to 2019. He has represented the Ministry of AYUSH at various national seminars and workshops in states like Sikkim and Manipur.

Dr. Somanadhapai is an active member of the Technical Advisory Panel and a resource person for both the National Institute of Naturopathy, Pune, and the Central Council for Research in Yoga and Naturopathy, under the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India.

Internationally, he has extensive experience as a Workplace Wellness Trainer, having conducted programs in countries such as Australia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Nigeria, Nepal, Seychelles, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Thailand, and the United Arab Emirates. As an industry expert, he has led numerous wellness projects including Cholayil Sanjeevanam (Chennai), Health Oasis Retreats (Koh Samui, Thailand), Baningnam Health Retreat (Bangkok, Thailand), B-Natural Spa (Lagos, Nigeria), and Ayurtherapy Wellness Center (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia), among others.

In 2021, he was appointed Adjunct Professor at Dr. Nyarkotey University College of Holistic Medicine and Technology, Republic of Ghana—a naturopathic medical college affiliated with the Traditional Medicine Practice Council, Ministry of Health, Government of Ghana. He also serves on the board of the School of Holistic Medicine, Lincoln College University, Malaysia, and the Faculty of Holistic Medicine, Universidad Empresarial, Costa Rica. He represents both institutions as an Educational Member of the World Naturopathic Federation, with both universities being the first in their respective continents (Asia and Africa) to join the Federation.

In recognition of his contributions, Dr. Somanadhapai received the National Award for Best Educationalist of the Year from the Koshambi Foundation, India, in 2022.
