On January 15th, 2024, the Faculty of Design at SGT University had the privilege of hosting an Expert Session on Costume Designing by renowned Hungarian designers, Ms. Ildiko and Ms. Fruzsina Nagy. The session offered the department a fascinating glimpse into the world of theatrical and cinematic costume design.

The designers began by sharing insights into their creative process, from concept development to final execution. They highlighted how costumes play a vital role in defining characters and enhancing storytelling, using examples from stage productions and films they had worked on.

Students were captivated by the designers’ demonstration of fabric manipulation, aging techniques, and intricate detailing, which bring costumes to life. The session also covered the importance of research and historical accuracy in period costumes, offering students a deeper appreciation for the craft.
