Objective of Udaan

Special Education

The Center for Ability focuses on joyful learning experiences catered through an individualized education program, facilitating socio-emotional development aimed at students with multiple impairments—intellectual, physical, hearing, speech-language, visual, or autism spectrum disorders.

  • All of our pupils feel comfortable and understood by one another in a psychologically inclusive environment. We work with students of all ages.
  • Need-based evaluation and intervention programs focused on functional life skills, education, and daily living skills.
  • Customized education plans are created based on circumstances and severity. The IEP outlines 3–4 month goals for the child’s progress.
  • We adapt our teaching methods to each child's ability—academic for educable children and functional training otherwise.
  • Through tools like flashcards, real objects, and storytelling, we help students generalize and retain knowledge. Creative outlets like art and crafts are included.
  • Once goals are achieved, we share progress reports, conduct parent meetings, and plan the next steps.
  • Children receive personal guidance from highly trained special educators.
  • We conduct regular counseling sessions and workshops, and keep families consistently updated.

Early Intervention

Early intervention refers to a system of services that supports infants and toddlers with developmental delays or disabilities and their families. These services are designed to identify and address developmental issues as early as possible, ensuring that children have the best possible start in life.

Early intervention is a vital step in ensuring that children with developmental challenges receive the support they need to thrive. By addressing issues early, we can set the foundation for a brighter future for these children and their families.

Speech Therapy

Techniques used in speech therapy aid in improving communication. Depending on the kind of speech or language impairment, these could involve articulation therapy, language intervention exercises, and other things.

Regular speech therapy sessions can help to improve or repair a variety of speech issues, including expressive, receptive, articulative, fluency, and cognitive-communication.

Depending on the disorder, different approaches are taken. It could involve loudness and production practice to enhance articulations and language parameters, speech drills to improve clarity or sound, or physical training to strengthen the muscles involved in speaking (oral-motor work). At, Centre for Ability we assist children with speech and language disorders of various kinds.

Assessment/ Counselling

Assessment: Every child goes through an evaluation procedure that includes a list of their skills, talents, problems, and capacities. The enhancement program and lesson plan are created based on the findings. Planning and record-keeping for the development programs are done on a regular basis.

Counseling: We offer regular counseling sessions to adults with special needs as well as to parents. Our conversations assist us in choosing the best course of action and provide parents with effective guidance on how to handle stressful situations. Parents are taught about the different types of disability, their advantages and disadvantages, and appropriate methods to use.
