Udaan School for Experiential Learning, initially an Outpatient Department (OPD) for children with Special needs managed by the Department of Special Education, Faculty of Education, SGT University, now converted into a school under the RCI Guidance as Udaan School for Experiential Learning, which was inaugurated on December 5, 2024. This momentous occasion was graced by Dr Mallika Nadda, Founder, Chairperson of Chetna Bilaspur, Asia Pacific Advisory Council Chairperson, and President of Special Olympics Bharat, as the Chief Guest.

Following the inauguration, the Special Olympics Games, organised by the Department of Special Education, SGT University, took centre stage. Students from various special schools across the region enthusiastically participated, showcasing their talents and abilities in multiple events and achieving numerous victories. The Games fostered a spirit of camaraderie and sportsmanship, a powerful reminder of the transformative potential of inclusive education. Udaan, a multidisciplinary services school, caters to children with Visual Impairment (VI), Hearing Impairment (HI), and Intellectual Disability (ID). The school offers comprehensive services, including early identification and intervention, screening and assessment, psychological assessment and testing, speech and hearing assessment, occupational therapy, speech therapy, physiotherapy, play therapy, pre-vocational training, special school education, remedial classes, and counselling services.

Udaan School for Experiential Learning is committed to providing high-quality education and support services to children with special needs, expanding its outreach through community awareness programs to educate the public about special education and inclusive practices, and implementing comprehensive parent training programs to equip parents with the knowledge and skills to support their children’s learning and development effectively.
