Workshop on Stress Management

The Department of Special Education Academic Club “Qabil” Academic Club collaboration with Udaan School for Experiential Learning organized a Hands-on Basic Training on Self- Defence on February 6, 2025, in celebration of National Girl Child Day. The event was held at Room No. 308, Seminar Hall, E-block, from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM, and was hosted by the Department of Special Education.

The primary objective of the event was to instill confidence and equip participants with essential self-defence techniques, raising awareness about personal safety and prevention measures. Capt. Jaipreet Joshi (Retd.), Founder & Chief Mentor of FIRCOMB, served as the resource person, sharing practical skills and expert insights.

The training saw an enthusiastic participation of 60 attendees, including students and faculty members. The session emphasized empowerment, gender equality, and safety, reinforcing the significance of National Girl Child Day. The event aimed to foster a safer and more inclusive campus environment by equipping individuals with necessary self-defence strategies.

Organized by Ms. Poonam Talwar, Ms. Priyanka Yadav, and Mr. Parveen Jat Kumar, the program was a success, achieving its goal of enhancing self-confidence and promoting advocacy for gender equality.
