Prof. (Dr.) Suman Vij

Prof. (Dr.) Suman Vij brings over 24 years of distinguished experience spanning corporate strategy, academic leadership, and quality assurance. A dynamic educator and institutional leader, she has contributed extensively across premier academic institutions and industries, aligning curriculum design, research advancement, and policy implementation with national and international quality standards. She has held key academic leadership roles at Shri Guru Ram Rai University, Uttaranchal University, and ICFAI University, where she played a pivotal role in institutional accreditation, curriculum restructuring, and governance reforms. With a unique blend of academic and industry expertise, Dr. Vij has taught a range of subjects to undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral students, drawing upon over a decade of corporate experience in exports, franchise operations, and market development to enrich her teaching. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics, an M.Phil in Statistics, and an MBA in Marketing & Operations. Currently, as Director, IQAC at SGT University, she leads institutional accreditation processes, internal quality audits, benchmarking practices, and continuous academic quality enhancement initiatives. Dr. Vij has authored over 80 research publications in UGC-listed, Scopus-indexed, and peer-reviewed journals, and has written or contributed to several books, including Consumer Behaviour and Human Rights and Socio-Economic Challenges in Uttarakhand. She has presented her research at more than 60 national and international conferences, including at Trinity College, University of Oxford. A seasoned facilitator of Faculty Development Programs and a strategic thought leader in NAAC/NIRF implementation, she has led numerous workshops and training programs on NEP 2020, ICT integration, and academic benchmarking. She has successfully supervised over eight Ph.D. candidates, with six scholars already awarded doctoral degrees under her mentorship. Dr. Vij is an active member of esteemed academic bodies such as the Indian Economic Association and the Indian Society for Ecological Economics and serves on editorial boards of several reputed national and international journals.
