Dr. Akhilesh Kumar Misra

Dr. Akhilesh Kumar Misra has been working as the Professor in the Department of Clinical Psychology, Faculty of Behavioural Sciences. He is doctorate (D.Phil.) in Clinical Psychology from University of Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, India.

Dr. Misra have more than two and a half decades of serving experiences as a teacher, trainer and researcher. His teaching and learning interaction programs are focused on inculcating the specialized professional competencies. He possesses extensive experience and versatile knowledge of conducting bilingual FDP, MDP and SDP with a professional mission of harvesting and harnessing talents to make budding professionals to perform independently by demonstrating his knowledge, skill and attitude, till the task touches the finishing point and hallmarks a success story at the workplace or in any walks of life.

Dr. Misra is dedicated towards developing and publishing cases, chapters on psychosocial issues, psychological tools, interventions and therapies and technical reports of training and research activities. He has 54 research papers published to his academic credit in peer reviewed journals, chapters in books and cases in magazines.

Dr. Misra, in addition to teaching, training and research, he is recipient of an honour to hold the academic position in the capacity of Dean, Director and Head of the Department(s) of prestigious private universities in the country. He has also been the recipient of the institutional academic excellence awards. These are based on the academic service performance pertaining to the contributions in teaching, social projects and publications to his professional credits.

Dr. Misra also provides psychological testing, guidance and counselling services for complainant one’s calling from all walks of lives related to variety of personal life issues. His current interest areas of teaching and research are: Clinical Psychology, Social and Health Psychology, Social Psychiatry, Medical Psychology and Research Methodology.
