Applications of Trauma-Informed Therapy: 9th April 2025
The Faculty of Behavioral Sciences, SGT University, had the honor of hosting Ms. Pallavi Singh, Trauma and Grief Therapist from I AM Wellbeing Organisation, for a deeply insightful workshop on “Applications of Trauma-Informed Therapy” held on April 9, 2025.
The session was a meaningful blend of theory and experiential learning. From grounding techniques and voice modulation to reflective group work and deep breathing practices, Ms. Singh beautifully illustrated the five core principles of Trauma-Informed Care — Safety,
Trustworthiness, Choice, Collaboration, and Empowerment.
Participants engaged in self-reflective activities, collaborative dialogue, and trauma-sensitive exercises that truly resonated with their personal and professional journeys. We are also proud to share that the session laid the foundation for a future MoU between I AM Wellbeing Organisation and SGT University, opening doors for collaborative training, research, and internships in trauma-informed care.
The event was successfully coordinated by Dr. Akshita, Assistant Professor, Department of Psychology, whose dedication and vision helped bring this impactful session to life.
