Chief Finance and Accounts Officer

Mr. Prasad is a seasoned professional with over 34 years of distinguished service in Financial Planning, Human Resource Management, Public Policy, Project Formulation, and Information Technology. Before joining SGT University, he held several leadership roles within the Indian Defence Accounts Service, including as the Head of Defence Budget & Accounts—one of the premier financial services in the Indian Civil Services.

He has served as Finance Officer and Dean–Planning at the University of Delhi, where he was instrumental in implementing large-scale e-governance initiatives and played a crucial role in developing academic reforms like the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUP). His visionary leadership was marked by innovation and system transformation in academic administration.

Mr. Prasad also held key positions in India’s strategic defence sector, such as Principal Controller at DRDO Hyderabad and Director of Finance. He was closely associated with high-impact projects including the Indo-Russian Joint Venture 'BrahMos' Missile Programme and India’s Integrated Guided Missile Development Programme (IGMDP).

At SGT University, he brings a wealth of experience in institution-building, governance, and academic planning. His systems-driven approach, combined with a commitment to mentorship and sustainable growth, makes him a transformative leader and a pivotal part of the university’s leadership ecosystem.
